Gusty - mesh networks for real-time, off-grid reporting of thunderstorm gust fronts

Gusty is a mesh network for reporting of thunderstorm gust fronts through a cooperating network of automated weather stations, Edge AI, and a LoRa based MeshCore sensor network.

Cooperating weather stations will add an Edge AI device to interpret streaming real time weather data and to detect thunderstorm "gust fronts" which have damaging winds. They will report out these findings through the Internet (if available) and through a solar-powered, mesh based MeshCore network. The detection algorithms should be fast enough to detect a gust front and report on it downwind fast enough to provide cooperating weather stations distant early warning of damaging weather.
